Women Who Run with the Wolves
Six-week story workshops
A journey into the heart of the Wild Woman Archetype. A ceremonial practice of gathering bones and a reclamation of the Wild Woman within.
“Within us is the old one who collects bones. Within us there are the soul-bones of this wild Self. Within us is the potential to be fleshed out again as the creature we once were. Within us are the bones to change ourselves and our world. Within us is the breath and our truths and our longings – together they are the song, the creation hymn we have been yearning to sing.” Clarissa Pinkola Estés
This sacred workshop is filled with myth & medicine for the soul. The workshop is facilitated by Marge Caico-Long, apprenticed by Serena Bell and guided by the sacred text, Women Who Run With the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype by Dr, Clarissa Pinkola Estés. This workshop is for Wild Women who are answering the call to journey deeper into themselves, these stories, and myths as a way of traveling closer to your primal instinctual selves. You are such a brave courageous soul to desire a deeper sense of self and true knowing that leads to self-belonging. I personally know how scary it can be to wander into the dark forests of the psyche.
“Fairy tales, myths, and stories provide understandings which sharpen our sight so we pick out and pick up the path left by the wildish nature. The instructions found in story reassures us that the path has not run out, but still leads women deeper , and more deeply still, into their own knowing. The tracks which we all are following are those of the Wild Woman archetype, the innate instinctual self” Clarissa Pinkola Estés
We will gather 1x/weekly for six weeks and dive into three stories from the book, Women Who Run With the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype. Using my training as a relational psychotherapist, rooted in depth psychology, my growing knowledge of archetypes, my deep ancestral knowing, my training of Ancient Archetypes under Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés Reyes, Jungian psychologist and author of the book Women Who Run with the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype, and my lived experience reclaiming my Wild Woman and personal sovereignty, I will guide and tend to us with the aide of my apprentice (and daughter), Serena Bell, in reflection, discussion, and exploration. At each month’s gathering, the chosen story will be re-told and we will have some discussion/teaching on the story and the themes of that week. This will include your voices and creativity. There will be opportunity to attend workshops in the future with other stories from the book. It is an opportunity to go deeper. You will be surprised how much comes up with each chapter/story.
During our gatherings, we will explore myths, stories, themes, and images within a kind and loving community. Each 6-week workshop will be a sacred container for 10 (or less) women. We will engage in activities that will help deepen into this work, like writing prompts, circle practices, rituals, somatic awareness, intention setting, meditation, and more…..
This workshop will be a soft place for. you to land. A space, led by women who are also on a journey to become who they desire to be rather than who they were taught to be. We are deeply intuitive, trained, educated, and most importantly experienced to walk through the transformation alongside you.
I call her Wild Woman, for those very words, wild and woman, create the fairy-tale knock at the door of the deep female psyche. Wild Woman, Wise Woman, Holy Woman. They share the same heartbeat. ~ Clarrisa Pinkola Estés
